Vishvasya: National Blockchain Technology Stack
National Blockchain Framework (NBF) is an initiative of MeitY to aid for large-scale adoption of Blockchain technology and enable trust for applications in the domain of e-Governance. It focuses on enabling Blockchain-as-a-Service and addresses the research challenges across various layers of the Blockchain stack. As a part of this initiative, NBF Blockchain-as-a-Service Technology Stack has been designed and developed for deployment of blockchain based applications with several components such as a dashboard for automated network setup, generic smart contract layer, authentication and authorization functions and enabling the same through Open APIs. Dashboard also provides the details of the configuration, Generic APIs for recording and querying the smart contracts, management of the nodes in the network. Vishvasya is security audited across all layers and the Blockchain platform docker images are hardened. This technology stack, Vishvasya was launched by the Hon'ble Secretary, MeitY, Shri. S Krishnan on 4th Sep 2024 for large scale adoption of Blockchain application development.
NBFLite
NBF Lite is a lightweight Blockchain Framework for research, experimentation & rapid prototyping of Blockchain based applications which is Powered by National Blockchain Framework - Vishvasya. It supports Hyperledger Fabric and Hyperledger Sawtooth Platforms for single node setup. Smart contract templates in the domain of Insurance, Supply chain, certificate and Drug Track & Trace are bundled with NBF Lite.
